Electronics Engineer | 6 month Contract | Brighton

We are currently looking for an Electronics Engineer, with experience of Product Development, Analogue Electronics, SMPS, EMC Testing & product conformance standards The work is derivative in nature, meaning that you will be mostly taking designs that already exist, and taking the product into development.

The role requires someone to take on the completion of a board rework, to substitute a current IGBT chip for the existing obsolescent one, while making the new board fit four existing assemblies. After that the product will need to undergo functional and environmental testing.

The product requires someone to work on SMPS, analogue design, microprocessors and 1kw motor controller, so you will need to have a broad knowledge base and diverse skill set. You will mostly be working alone on this product, so you will need to have confidence in your ability to work autonomously.

Rate: £40-45 per hour

Length: 6 months +
