RF Engineer - Radio Frequency
Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates for a 3 x RF Engineers to work with a leading Defence client based in Cowes in the Isle of Wight. Rates of this will be £47.37 limited and contracts will initially be for 6 months. Usual hours are 37 per week and candidates will need to go through SC Clearance if not already cleared for the role. The purpose of the role is to undertake design and design maintenance tasks for the RF and Analogue aspects of new and Legacy products for the Radar group within Product and Training Services.
Essential
Degree in Electronic Engineering or strongly related subject.
Previous experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment.
Design of high specification analog and digital receiver systems.
Design of frequency synthesis equipment including direct digital waveform synthesis to 4GHz.
Experience of generating component level designs for introduction into volume production.
Integration, design proving, and defect resolution.
Experience of EMC qualification to DEF STAN 59-411.
Safety aspects associated with high power/high voltage equipment.
Desirable
Experience with the capabilities and use of circuit, RF and system modelling tools
An appreciation of radar system design aspects and how these interact with RF requirements
