Description

One of London's most prestigious retail brands are looking for someone with an L&D background to join the team on contract to support 1) the org wide rollout of E-learning and 2) the rollout of technical tests at interview for developers as well as enrollment to a gaming/learning portal.

Priority 1 - Org Wide Roll-out of E-learning

They have identified the platform and there are no LMS integration requirements, as the platform will be standalone. The learning needs have been identified and the target audience (4500+) has been divided into logical groups. We need someone to create the roll-out plan and support the roll-out of the E-learning platform across the business, then develop and hand-over BAU processes.

The individual will need:

  • To manage the relationship with the supplier
  • To review the capability of the training platform and ensure that the business needs have been addressed in a pragmatic, dynamic fashion working at pace
  • To manage the scheduling and messages for internal communications publicising E-learning with the Internal Communications team
  • To develop processes to ensure that users are enrolled for the initial roll-out, including assigning a skills assessment module, mandatory training modules, and knowledge review
  • To develop processes to report upon completion of training and escalate instances where individuals have not completed training within the allotted time
  • To develop a rewards and recognition programme or otherwise ensure successful completion/adoption
  • To work with IT and the supplier to identify and raise appropriate changes to ensure that the business is technically ready to launch training
  • To liaise with SMEs to develop jackets where links to policies and procedures can be referenced following the completion of the training modules
  • To report on progress relating to the roll-out to the Board via Programme Management

Priority 2 - Roll-out of Technical Test/Secure Coding Training

They have identified the platform and there are no LMS integration requirements, as the platform will be standalone. The learning needs have been identified and the target audience (less than 20 individuals) has been divided into logical groups. We need someone to create the roll-out plan and support the roll-out of the E-learning platform across the development teams, then develop and hand-over BAU processes.

The individual will need:

  • To manage the relationship with the supplier
  • To review the capability of the training platform and ensure that business needs have been addressed in a pragmatic, dynamic fashion working at pace
  • To develop processes to ensure that users are enrolled for the initial roll-out
  • To develop processes to ensure that all users receive an annual competence test
  • To develop processes to ensure that candidates are required to complete a competence test prior to hire
  • To develop processes to report upon completion of training and escalate instances where individuals have not completed training within the allotted time
  • To develop a ranking system (white belt, black belt, etc.), creating competitions and leagues to encourage adoption
  • To develop a rewards and recognition programme or otherwise ensure successful completion/adoption

Lowest Priority - Exec Event

The client wishes to provide a briefing session to senior managers and execs (relating to the content covered within org wide E-learning). This will involved 75+ execs attending an event hosted internally or externally being moderated by Group General Counsel featuring one or more external speakers.

The individual will need:

  • Identify the training requirements
  • Work with external agencies and partners to create the event
  • Develop and coordinate the internal communications
  • Liaising with SMEs to ensure that content is in place
  • Providing briefings to key stakeholders in advance of the event to ensure that they are prepared and understand the structure/key messages
