Description

Electrical Tutor/Coventry/9 months Contract/20 to 25 GBP (Per Hour)

Key Technical Skills/competencies:

  • Effective management of resources and operational risk
  • Experience of programme development and design
  • Competent teacher/instructor with experience of delivering level 2 & 3 programmes in the engineering sector (particularly PEO level 2) And/Or Technical Certificate at Level 3 including functional skills
  • Competent teacher/instructor with experience of delivering level 3 programmes in the engineering sector (particularly BTEC National)
  • Champions the role of programme and project management in the organisation and maintains an effective relationship with the relevant subject matter experts
  • Literate in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must hold or be working towards ATLS/QTLS

Qualifications:

  • Must hold or be working towards DTTLS qualifications with a view to obtaining QTLS
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning

Top 4 Major Tasks and Activities:

  • The development of NVQ and/or Tech Cert programmes in readiness for delivery
  • Demonstrate and support good practice through innovative teaching and learning strategies and introduce new technologies in the classroom
  • Promote the sharing of ideas across the Academy to support objectives in becoming an outstanding provider
  • Participate in internal verification activities to ensure compliance and standardisation across the contract

Additional Key Accountabilities:

  • Champion a partnering approach to both business and management of people; know and understand the key business value of partnering and apply it to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
  • Ensure all delivery complies with all internal and external quality measures
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation of team delivery
  • Ensure the team use agreed best practice delivery solutions to enhance the delivery
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with the Company Equality and Diversity Policy
  • Comply fully with the Company IT Security Policy

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Carry out instruction for classes
  • Mark all work and provide feedback to students
  • Produce schemes of work, lesson plans and course materials
  • Ensure all appropriate teaching resources are available for delivery
  • Writing student progress reports
  • Manage student performance
  • Undertake staff induction and performance development reviews

Security Status:

Requires enhanced DBS through the Disclosure and Barring Service and military security clearance.
