Description
My Client is looking for an IP Network Engineer with experience of Cisco and Juniper to join a team based In Amsterdam.
You will:
* Prepare and perform network upgrades
* Prepare and perform network changes
* Migrate from Legacy networks to new networks
* Troubleshooting and recovering the network and services
* Perform maintenance tasks on our platforms
* Monitor and improve network performance
* Keep network consistent and up to date
* Cooperate with vendors on incidents, upgrades and other issues
Your Skills:
* Relevant BSc/HBO education (eg telcommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, telematics)
* Experienced with Cisco and Juniper equipment, troubleshooting, configurating, upgrading etc.
* CCNA certification
* Result driven and pro-active
* Cooperative team player
* Be able to perform under pressure
* Solid understanding of network technologies in general and IP Networks especially
* Interested in network architecture and protocols (BGP, QoS, MPLS, Multicast)
* Automation and Scripting experience is a prerequisite
* 3+ years of experience in a similar position
3 month contract initially but long term projects so has the ability to be a long term engagement for the right candidate.
