Scientist - Protein Analytics wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

Your experience/skills:
  • Educational background in life sciences, such as Biochemistry, Chemistry or equivalent with experience in protein analytics and characterisation
  • 2+ years of working experience in instrumental analytics, e.g. chromatography, electrophoresis and spectroscopy
  • Ability to interpret scientific information critically and objectively
  • Good skills in organisation and communication as well as in MS Office
  • Languages: fluent English both written and spoken


Your tasks:
  • Providing analytical support for biopharmaceutical protein development projects by using physico-chemical test methods such as HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, peptide mapping, mass spectrometry, cIEF, and spectroscopy
  • Developing analytical test methods and performing analytical characterisation programs for materials intended for pre-clinical and clinical use
  • Planning and performing analyses as well as evaluating and documenting results
  • Qualifying analytical methods according standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining the technical organisation of the laboratory
