About The Company

My client are one of the leading network, telecommunications and mobile technology companies in the world. They looking for an experienced Optical Network Designer and Planner to join their Network Design & Planning Team in The Netherlands.

About The Role

In this role, you will be expected to create WDM Network High Level Design independently (based on service order). Create WDM Network Low Level Design based on HLD. You will also be expected to operate the resource management system NIM, being able to Add/Update/Remove resources when required. Another part of your job will be to communicate with Dutch customers to elaborate on detailed requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

They are ideally looking for someone who has over 5 year+ experience and a proven track record of optical network engineering. You will need to have an in depth understanding of WDM/OTN principles and standard Network designing rules.

Essential:

  • Profound knowledge of with the NIM/Cramer system (OSS 8 is desired, but not mandatory)
  • Familiar with network fiber connection materials
  • In depth understanding of optical network standard components
  • Capable is assessing site cable connection segments.
  • Team player, Pro-active attitude, willing to learn and grow.
  • Able to communicate in Dutch
  • For efficiency reasons, the candidate should be able to operate input devises fast
