Wintel Systems Architect required for a 12-month contract based in Longford.
The Wintel Systems Architect will be part of the infrastructure team providing essential infrastructure services to my client.
The Windows team is made up of 3 resources including the Wintel System Architect. The Wintel System Architect will report to the Higher Executive Officer ICT Infrastructure.
Each Resource on the Windows Team will be required to work additional hours (On-call hours), outside of the normal working hours. These additional hours will be on a shared rota basis between the three members of the Windows Team.
*Full clean driving license and own transport is essential for this position*
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the provision of key operational infrastructure to enable our client to operate successfully with minimal downtime.
- Ability to work in a highly pressurised support area which operates under the highest of quality expectations from the user community.
- This support area is responsible for delivering applications to the prisons staff.
- Whilst industry certification within the various areas may be important, practical real-world experience within the technology areas is considered of much higher value.
- Much of the work involved depends upon the individual's ability to draw upon previous experience coupled with an innovative and creative approach to technical problem solving.
Experience Required:
- Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policies, User Groups, OU's) and Microsoft Exchange 2013 and 2016 and Microsoft Hyper-V
- Oracle Financials and Liberty Library System and SecureWave Sanctuary/Lumension (USB Lockdown administration)
- Winmagic Hard Disk Encryption and SharePoint 2016 and Windows 2008 (R2), 2012 (R2) and Server 2016 and Windows 7/Windows 10
- System Centre SCCM and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and MS Office 2016 and Microsoft Windows AIK
- Symantec Ghost and Citrix Xendesktop and RAS and MobileIron MDM
- HP Nimble, 3Par/EVA SAN and MSA SAN and Office 365 and InstallShield Application Packaging and Intellex and Victor CCTV
- Design and Build of Citrix Xendesktop VDI environment. (catering for a large number of mixed applications from commercial to in house software) and Knowledge of Lotus Notes Environments and SAN Fabric switching.
- Application Packaging and Deployment, Via Active Directory and SCCM and Integration of Networked CCTV environment into ICT environment and Support and implementation of Remote Access Solutions.
- Oracle Client services and Enterprise SQL 2016 Server Cluster and Nice Recording Phone System Servers.
- MDM Services and Cisco Jabber and Key Vending Servers.
