Job description
Expected responsibilities of SAP Basis service manager:
- Manage and control the SAP Basis service provided by service provider (BAU) team but also SAP Basis project team
- Manage SAP Basis technical configuration quality/performance/security assessment on the different SAP clients/Servers, Order and read early watch report, present conclusion
- Define service improvement plans together with service provider and drive its implementation
- Actively participate to SAP technical forum
- Receive and review service provider SAP Basis services report
- Define SAP Basis/Performance/capacity service improvement and follow up
- Continuous service improvement
- Review incident/Problem RCA related to SAP
- Assess SAP Basis architecture solution and project proposed by SAP Basis service provider
- Support SAP projects from a SAP Basis perspective, defining and assessing services
- Support release and deployment manager in assessing impact of new projects on current environment capacities/performance
- Define and document the client's Best practices SAP Basis maintenance procedures, monitoring and reporting
- Assess infrastructure change management
- Define maintenance plan of the SAP solution
