Windows/Vsphere Administrator
6+ month contract

$40.00/hr
Working under limited direction and within general practices, provides technical expertise by independently determining and developing approaches to solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering problems. Develops new software engineering methods or processes, re-evaluate existing processes; designs simulation and test criteria and verifies functionality and performance. Works on the overall design and development of new ideas and products, and develops project plans.Duties may include research, evaluation, development and application of new process and methods into products. Sphere of influence is likely to extend outside of work group or department.
The team this position is on runs instances of every product our client sells so that their partners, field and prospects get a hands on experience of their product before making a purchasing decision. The products this employee will be working with are from the client's End-User computing business unit. These products focus on delivering applications and resources to mobile devices of the modern workforce while keeping devices secure. This position is unique in that you'll be working with many teams across the client so you'll gain experience across all functions including Marketing, Product Management, Sales Engineering, and QA.
-Desired experience: 3+ years of experience
- Knowledge of server architecture, Linux commands, services, database, Windows server, IIS, Vsphere, AWS
- Experience with Networking - Firewall, F5 networking, load balancer, SSL offloading, certificates in general
- Experience with Active Directory, domain controller, DNS, FQDN
- Experience with AirWatch desired
- Implementation experience with on premise products
- Troubleshooting experience with Android and Windows 10 devices
Will be working on Vsphere but needs to be open to work on other products (likely Airwatch, Identify Management, Workspaceone)
1) What hours/days will this person be working? M-F typical (once a month 4-5 hours on the weekend - work from home those days - to perform upgrades)
2) What are the top 3 skills/requirements this person should have? Technical sound server architecture linux Servers/windows Servers, SQL, IIS, Vsphere (most Servers run on this), experience in AWS would be big plus. Needs to have knowledge of Firewalls and load balancers, SSL offloading, knowledge of F5 networking, DNS/domain controllers.
This team works with a lot of other internal teams, infrastructure used by sales people. Someone who is personable and has good communication skills is needed. Needs to be able to explain technical concepts to others who aren't as technical.

a. 3 people in the team in Atlanta and 1 other person in Palo Alto. Lots of other people they will be working with that aren't in Atlanta.
