Contract Rate: Euro 450 per day Max.

Our Client, one of the world's foremost IT Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Enterprise Architect to join their client in Luxembourg.
An Expert Technical Systems Analyst assesses and analyzes business and system needs, exploring alternative options and providing consulting services to senior management. Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications, and working collaboratively with the Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications and third-party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives. Typical project scope is small to large development or maintenance projects (multiple projects - one application with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties). May function as a project leader. Emphasis is on consulting and incorporating systems solutions that will benefit the business.
Key Accountabilities (Expert)
- Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large IT projects of varying complexity) and develops proposals for senior management
- Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs and PLC deliverables including component reusability, data sharing and security
- Lead detailed design phases for projects/ programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues
- Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for projects in accordance with PLC, security and architecture documentation objectives
- Together with Project Manager, determine best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives
- Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
- Develop master distribution lists, implementation and contingency plans ensuring verification is performed
- May facilitate small to large group meetings for technical design and task implementation Develop criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises
- Provide input and coordinates with DBA in creating new and modifying existing database structures using different types of databases and recommending appropriate DB based on required functionality
- Will perform tasks and/or provide direction to other Technical System Analysts to develops, codes, documents and executes unit test, system, integration and acceptance test using different languages and testing tools for functions of high complexity
- Manage joint development, testing and plans and coordinates implementations
- Perform database/disaster recovery for entire system in different situations
- Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
- Provide on-call support of applications, database, etc., particularly more complex situations
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Previous work experience as an Advanced Technical Systems Analyst
- Experience on Information Technology projects supporting an enterprise-wide environment
- Experience presenting and facilitating discussions on technical requirements to support business needs of project sponsors and stakeholders
- Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical skills and expertise to assess, research and analyze business and system needs
- Skilled in leading detailed design phases and developing detailed technical requirements into project plan phases for successful implementation
- General management skills to lead and direct other technical analysts, as required
- Knowledge of different programming languages (e.g. Cobol, JCL, Java, C, HTML, VB, Visual C++)
- Prior experience with single platforms and familiarity with others e.g. MVS, Internet, Client/Server
- User proficiency with different testing tools (E.g. Expediter, File-Aid), different design techniques (e.g. OO. Top-down, structured analysis, component-based design) and tools (e.g. Rational Rose)
- Expert knowledge of documentation requirements. Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications.
