Description
Systems Engineer required to work for one of the worlds biggest defence and aerospace organization on a 6 month contract in Glasgow.
Key Technical Skills
- Strong expertise and experience in the planning and delivery of integration tests.
- Understands the verification and validation phases of the engineering life cycle and can translate testing activities to requirements.
- Familiar with the use of DOORS.
- Able to gather, filter and process information that will be used to integration plans. This includes discussing with and eliciting information from SMEs/Stakeholders.
- Ideally has familiarity with large-scale power generation and control systems within the marine environment.
Top 6 Major Tasks and Activities:
Undertake assessments of Marine Systems integration risks and identify integration testing strategies that can be used to mitigate such risks.Develop detailed plans for the progressive verification and validation of Marine sub-systems; scope integration test plans and enable their delivery.Assess the Marine sub-systems' designs and identify any additional diagnostic requirements or equipment that may be needed to enable the progressive verification and validation plans.Prepare test documentation, assess the outcome of integration tests and prepare test reports; support the system design teams with resolving problems originating from integration tests.Support the development of the overarching Marine Systems Integrated Test Evaluation & Acceptance Plan.Link de-risking and verification plans to the Whole-Ship and sub-system technical requirements.Apply now
