Network Engineer - CCNA/CCNP/WAN/LAN/Firewalls

Rate:$15 - $20 per hour
Working hours: US Eastern Standard Time, 3pm - 1am CEST shift, Monday - Friday
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Duration:12 months, possible extensions

Contract opportunity for a network engineer to join an international telecommunications company to take ownership of troubleshooting, fault finding and providing technical customer support across WAN, LAN, Firewalls and load balancers.

Working as part of the US Eastern Standard Time rota for this highly respected Telecoms brand as part of the Technical Customer Operations Team, the position provides 2nd/3rd line Network support for the company's customers on the extensive HP Enterprise (HPE), MPLS/IPVPN network.

You will also be tasked with monitoring the Ticket & Network Management systems to ensure any faults/network outages are logged correctly in line with company SLA's and in conjunction with ITIL processes & procedures and in turn fixed & resolved to ensure minimal impact to the end customer.

As Network Engineer you will; implement & manage customer/network migrations, assist in the change management for planned engineering works involving pre/post testing & ensuring the correct processes & procedures are followed for escalations etc.

In order to be considered for this role candidates must have demonstrable experience working as a network engineer, network technician or similar for a corporate, telecoms operator, service provider, small business or ISP.

Any experience within a Technical Support, Customer Support, Network Operations, NOC or Technical Operations capacity in an Enterprise scale Carrier or Telecoms Service Provider environment is highly desirable but not essential. Also, any knowledge of network support for Data/WAN solutions such as; MPLS, IPVPN, Ethernet etc.

Candidates should have some or all of the following:

# Speak fluent English

# Be happy to work 3pm - 1am CEST shift pattern to cover US business hours

# CCNA, CCNP qualification

# Good troubleshooting skills for LAN/WAN/Firewall/Load balancer

# Hands-on technical knowledge with HPE Open View Products, Security

# Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills

# Good understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes, preferably ITIL trained
