Windows Systems Support Specialist, System Administrator, Active Directory, VMWare, HyperV, Rome, Italy

Day Rate: EUROS
Description of Work to be Performed
- Provide system administration for application Servers, including:
- Version and service pack upgrades as required, for the operating system itself and associated software products;
- Deploy system upgrades as required;
- Resolution of hardware and/or software problems;
- Review all systems backup operations as defined;
- Moving application to a different system ensuring proper functioning in production environment (including fine tuning and testing)
- Assist the DBAs and the development teams in setting up their working environments and procedures
- Capacity planning for Servers and/or disk and associated backup devices;
- Investigate and provide technical evaluations for proposals in the acquisition of hardware, software and new technologies;
- Provide 3rd level support as system administrator and liaise with various technical teams;
- Write and maintain system operation and service deployment procedures in English;
- Monitor and troubleshoot of server systems.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Active Directory administration, GPO management and creation of users in large AD enterprise environment;
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as 3rd level Remote Support System Administrator in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server Systems;
- Excellent English (written and spoken) language skills with the ability to express complex technical matters: level C
Desirable Requirements
- Minimum of 2 year of experience as an administrator in virtualization of technologies (creation of virtual instances, management of virtualization console) in VMware or Hyper-V;
- Minimum 2 year of experience in the area of industry standard server Backup tools as system administrator;
- Minimum 2 year of experience as system administrator in supporting and installing systems based on Linux operating system;
- Minimum of 1 year experience in web application administration in particular Tomcat and Apache
- Good knowledge in Oracle/MySQL
- Basic language skills in French and/or Spanish: level A
