Description
MHC requires a SOC Analyst to work on-site at a Sheffield based Global Financial Services client.
You will be a key member of a SOC Monitoring team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Consultancy, which can offer scope to work onsite at a number of global Financial Institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical resolution for security alerts and SOC service requests.
- Manage alerts and incidents through the incident life cycle.
- Interface with clients in incident identification, remediation and resolution.
- Resolve or escalate identified incidents.
- Work closely with the client to analyse current threat landscape.
- Stay abreast of current vulnerabilities, exploits and threat actors.
- Document solutions, process and procedures in written form.
Essential Skills
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced SOC Analyst (Cyber Incident, Security Operations, SIEM, CISSP).
- 3+ years in a SIEM/Monitoring environment.
- Ability to evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and risk while under pressure and multi-tasking.
- Technically skilled in networking, Client Server technologies, and log file analysis.
- Relevant degree and/or Cyber Security qualifications.
- Experience of working for a large, multi-national, organisation.
- Experience of making prompt and practical business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes.
