Title: Manufacturing Technician

Rate: €50/hr

Location: Longford, Ireland

Positions Available: 1 Engineer

Type: Contract (24 Months Rolling)

A Fantastic new role has just opened up at one of our leading Irish based clients offering the successful candidate the opportunity to join a hard-working team working on exciting projects in the pharmaceutical sector.

The proposed start date is ASAP - We need YOU

Responsibilities include:

  • Imporant Notes: 38hr week, NIGHT shift work (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights), 3 12 hour shifts
  • Engineering technicians will be responsible for the hands on running and maintenance of plant, utilities and equipment
  • They will be responsible for maximising availability of FUE.
  • This group will have three distinct responsibilities namely manufacturing, facilities and electrical, however any technician may work in any area as required.
  • Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well at the Abbott Global and Technical standards.
  • Perform day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance as required.
  • Liaison and coordination of external contractors to complete required maintenance or breakdown service.
  • Hands on role at troubleshooting/faultfinding and maintaining equipment and plant related items to ensure the proper operation and service of equipment and utilities to plant standards.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of all clean room HVAC, equipment, and utilities to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical issues in an effective & timely manner to support operations.
  • Ensuring equipment/systems meets the required legal, divisional and corporate standards.
  • Ensuring safety standards are met and safe-working practices adhered to.
  • Communicate effectively with plant management, corporate and division engineering.

Requirements:

  • A relevant third level qualification in mechanical Engineering and/or senior trades with relevant experience is required to understand the nature of the business.
  • PLC Siemens Experience
  • Automation Experience
