Systems Engineer, O365 Systems Administrator, SharePoint Consultant, OneDrive, Support Engineer.

A Systems Engineer is required by a global company to work on its latest Office365 and SharePoint project - it is a great team, with a great manager and working with some top technologies.

Technology is fundamental and crucial to their business, and due to a growing number of projects and transition to cloud-based services, we need an Office 365 Engineer to join our project team in Oxford. The Systems Engineer will be surrounded by a brilliant group of technologists and offered the chance to work together to contribute to significant change. Reporting to the Systems Manager, you will join a team of sysadmins and engineers and help deliver key transition projects around Office 365, Yammer, SharePoint, OneDrive and other similar technologies.

Systems Engineer information and job requirements:

Key Accountabilities for the Systems Engineer

Assist in defining guidelines for what data profiles should be hosted on OneDrive/SharePoint

Document runbooks for data migrations

Network Impact assessments to feed data migration plans

File Server monitoring to ensure zero business impact during migrations

Assist in defining SharePoint site structures to support data migrations

Data migrations from on-prem to cloud platforms

Key Performance Indicators for the Systems Engineer

Inventory of who is accessing what data across the estate

Migration Approach & Implementation

Knowledge Transfer to the Support Teams

Activities and obstacles are communicated to the Enterprise Systems Manager effectively

Requirements of the Systems Engineer:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent Microsoft certifications or equivalent

Strong Office 365 administration experience, with SharePoint Online and OneDrive

Experience with SharePoint 2013 & SharePoint Online, design and topology

File Server to SharePoint Online migration experience

File Server to OneDrive migration experience, ideally using the Microsoft Fast Track Factory Process

PowerShell Scripting experience for Active Directory and Azure

Well versed in cloud based file/content management applications and Collaboration ecosystems

Knowledge of Yammer Migrations

Excellent communication skills at all levels of technical experience

Significant experience in a technical support role supporting a large-scale multisite enterprise environment

Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources

Success in the Systems Engineer role requires the following personal qualities:

Commutable from: Swindon, Oxfordshire, Banbury, Aylesbury, Reading, Witney, Abingdon, Northampton, Carterton, Didcot, Milton Keynes, Thame, Wallingford, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Newbury, Basingstoke, Slough, Maidenhead and any surrounding areas to Oxford.
