Senior Continuous Delivery/Deployment Automation Engineer (TFS Release Management)
For one of my globally leading financials clients I am urgently looking for a Senior Continuous Delivery/Deployment Automation Engineer with good TFS Release Management know how for a long contract based in Amsterdam.
The successful CD/Deployment Automation Engineer with TFS release management experience will possess good knowledge of Continuous Delivery as a Service product (CDaaS) and related products in addition to having good technical skills with the following:
At least 5 years of experience as a software Engineer.
At least 1 year of experience with TFS Release Management. Ansible, Ansible Tower is a pre.
Experience with NodeJS and/or PowerShell.
Strong Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and Automated deployments.
Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum DevOps teams, preferably a scrum master role.
Preferably experience with Jenkins, Python, Bash, Linux, Gitlab, Artifactory.
Gitlab, Artifactory, SonarQube, Fortify) and in-house built apps (using Java, Python, Bash) which work closely together to provide a CD-pipeline.
You will also have:
Experience in larger organizations and comfortable with collaboration and open communication. (Recent experience within Dutch banking is a big pre)
A proactive Can-do attitude, self-confidence, a patient and reflective person who continuously improves him/herself and those around him/her.
As a senior, knowledge sharing will be expected.
You are familiar with STRIDE risk assessment model or equivalents.
Bachelor and/or Master degree in Information Technology.
Ideally you will be Dutch speaking albeit this is not essential, especially if you tick all the above boxes!
Job Description
The Continuous Delivery as a Service product (CDaaS) consist of many smaller products, both off the shelve (like Gitlab, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify) and in-house built apps (using Java, Python, Bash) which work closely together to provide a CD-pipeline.
As Continuous Delivery/Deploy Automation engineer you will become part of a squad tasked with decommissioning one of the most crucial tools in the CD pipeline, the deployment automation tool: CA Release Automation (Nolio). You will be replacing this with 2 other products, TFS Release Management as release orchestration and Ansible (Tower) as deployment execution tool. These new tools need to integrate in a secure and safe way, so a risk aware mind set, looking for security threats constantly, is a must.
You are a proactive person with excellent communication skills and getting-things-done mentality. A migration of this scale requires a lot of organizational skills, as well as technical skills.
You are able to discuss solutions with the various CDaaS teams and are able to proactively solve impediments together with other teams. You strongly believe in automated testing and - of course - Continuous Delivery.
Contract: 6 months + option to extend
