6 Month initial Contract

Pay rate - £50 P/H

My client are currently looking for 2 Senior Field Service Engineers to join their team in Aberdeen on an initial 6 months contract. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years relevant industrial experience in a similar role.

Role Overview:
Senior Systems Service Engineer responsible for installing, maintaining and configuring Honeywell and third party Distributed Control/SCADA Systems in the energy, chemical, pulp, paper, printing and manufacturing markets. Expected to work to the highest safety and quality standards, with minimum supervision.

Requirements:

  • As a minimum, HNC/HND in industrial measurement and control or equivalent qualification with at least four year of relevant industrial experience.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of one or more Honeywell product family.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer handling skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Must have knowledge of Honeywell EPKS, C300 and C200.
  • This role is primarily based in the Aberdeen office, with potential to go offshore. However the time spent offshore will be very minimal.
  • Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities:

. Represents Honeywell in all customer interactions in a manner that is consistent with Honeywell values.
. Observe and operate both Honeywell and customer safe systems of work, complying with all legislation.
. Actively participates in installation/configuration/implementation & commissioning of Honeywell's product range including Industrial control & safety systems, 3rd party DCS Systems or SCADA products to meet customer specifications and able to independently implement significant modification to these systems.
. Maintain the customer equipment to the required standard.
. Understands project life cycle from requirements to delivery. Has a basic level of project management skills and is able to develop project documentation.
. Implements smaller system upgrades or modifications that have the potential to significantly impact the customer's process. Implements online system changes to live plant without compromising process safety and operation.
. Understand customer needs and able to resolve issues through technical knowledge, knowledge of the customer's site and contacts and use of the Honeywell support network.
. Use open two-way communication style both internally and externally with Honeywell customers.
. Develops relationships beyond the normal contacts and is able to advise other Honeywell staff who the key contacts are, decision makers, recommenders, ratifiers. Is viewed as a focal point for support by the customer organisation.
. Proactively seeks to establish opportunities for the development of product applications to enhance the customer process.
. Understands the cost structure of service agreements and makes appropriate cost effective decisions. Awareness of the implication of those decisions on the P&L.
. Awareness of the commercial issues relating to projects, is able to estimate, design and produce well structured solutions from customer specifications.
. Diagnosis and rectification/management of issues in complex application software.
. Utilises and contributes to the development of QMS documentation.
. Ensure timely communication to provide effective turn around on customer feedback and billings.
. Provides technical information to the sales team on major works and supports them in the development of estimates and proposals.
. Provide out of hours cover as part of an on-call rota.
