Senior SharePoint Architect/Developer

SharePoint Architect

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical and architectural oversight and support for a new web based SharePoint application for the client, servicing over their offices globally, being developed by an external vendor.

The applicant is expected to assist with the roll out of the new application and promote the proper use of SharePoint across the group.

Key for this person is that they can come in and oversee the development team that is now on site form the vendor.

Job Description

  • Provide architectural oversight in design and infrastructure
  • Assist with implementing required architecture
  • Work with external vendor to ensure best practice approaches to implementation of the architecture design, development and deployment based on Microsoft best practice guidelines
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and external vendor on backup/recovery operations and disaster recovery related to the Sharepoint implementation
  • Complete Sharepoint Migration from 2013 to 2016
  • Assist with integrating the new SP application with other corporate data sources and applications
  • Build features, web parts, etc. for Sharepoint
  • Assist in solving technical and performance problems within the technical infrastructure
  • Work with external vendor to provide fit for purpose documentation to support the new application - Configuration document, Installation document, Infrastructure design document.
  • Assist with deployments
  • Develop code as required
  • Provide architectural/technical support to the project team
  • Actively participate in project team meetings

Skills:

  • SharePoint 2013 and 2016
  • Strong knowledge in Sharepoint Architecture Design (Extranet & Intranet)
  • Active Directory
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud deployments
  • Experience maintaining SharePoint features and solutions including custom content types, web parts, event receivers, workflows, and site templates
  • Visual Studio 2010, .NET framework 3.5 +, Active Directory, C#, AngularJS
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript experience
  • SharePoint 2013 custom development and Search Configuration
  • Background in the financial Industry preferable

  • Ability to be able to work closely with external vendor.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Excellent time management and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English written and verbal.
  • Background in the financial Industry preferable.

Academic Qualification:

  • 3rd Level IT Qualification,
  • MCTS
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS):
