Development/Test Technician - Manufacturing
9 Month Contract
West Sussex
£15 Per Hour
A leading engineering and manufacturing company that design and make special purpose machines and integrated solutions are seeing a Development/Test Technician to support a project team.
The role will include building and stripping a range of test rigs and associated systems. Other activities will include systemisation, configuration, and wiring of test, preparing for, and conducting tests to a pre-defined test plan and reporting results in a clear and precise manner.
The purpose of the position is to support the development and test of new and innovative designs for deployment in their systems.
In support of this the successful candidate would need to be an experienced Development Technician having worked in a similar area of engineering for at least 5 years and having the following skills:
- Experience of Building/Stripping/Maintaining machinery.
- Experience of setting up bespoke test rigs.
- Hands on practical experience/ability to commission and run lab tests including clear precise recording of all data and test variables.
- Ability to understand and follow safe working practices.
- IT literate -Excel, Word Etc.
- knowledge/experience of instrumentation such as data logging equipment, power, pressure and temperature monitoring equipment.
- Experience on 3 phase electric motors and motor drive systems an advantage.
- Qualifications - Apprenticeship/HND/C preferred.
- Tool room/workshop experience an advantage.
