Job Description:
Job Purpose: To monitor, manage and configure WebSphere Application Server and Liberty profiles Administration tasks ensuring high degree of availability, performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration of WebSphere Application Server 8.X & WebSphereLiberty on Solaris/Linux.
- Installing iFix Cumulative Fix packs.
- Scripting knowledge like Jacl, Jython scripts.
- Knowledge on Networks, Firewall ports, Load balancing and DNS Functionality.
- Basics of Oracle 12C Database.
- JDBC & JMS configuration and troubleshooting on WebSphere App server & Liberty profiles
- SSL Configuration and troubleshooting on WebSphere App server & Liberty profiles
- Troubleshooting and providing support for Application Server related incidents/Change
- Logging and reporting PMR till closure of the issue.
- Performance Tuning for WebSphere Application, Liberty profiles and HTTP Server
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot applications on App and Liberty profiles
- Analyze logs and initiate corrective activity (Web server, WebSphere Application Server and Liberty profiles).
- Responsible for documentation of overall server environment, operational and project procedures.
- Highlight and mitigate risk on the environment
- Knowledge on Incident, Problem and Change management and ITIL framework
- Audit Finding & closure
- Incident reduction
