ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Corporate Help Desk Specialist for a 3M C2H opportunity in Arlington, TX. The Corporate Help Desk Specialist will need to have good foundational knowledge of network/server administration and should have experience supporting Windows 8/Office 2013, preferably in an enterprise-level environment. The Corporate Help Desk Specialist will be a part of a team providing both field and phone support for 9000+ employees of our client's enterprise-level company specific to resolving Dell Hardware/Software Application issues.

The Help Desk environment that the Corporate Help Desk Specialist will join, does not follow the normal 3-tiered help desk structure, but rather, it allows for technicians to work not only on desktop support, but also dabble in server administration and work directly with engineers to encourage creative, out-of-the-box thinking. The Corporate Help Desk Specialist must be professional and detail-oriented, and must be able to communicate effectively with clear and articulate English. Additionally, the Corporate Help Desk Specialist will be working through problems from the ground up with customers.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of experience in the following skill sets

  • HP or Dell Hardware Troubleshooting/Support - Laptops/Desktops/Printers
  • Windows 8/Office 2013 - Support/Troubleshooting
    • Supporting Windows 8/Office 2013 (REQUIRED)
    • Microsoft Outlook - Troubleshooting/Support
    • Active Directory - User Setups/Authentications/Troubleshooting
  • Customer-Facing Technical Assistance Experience - Geek Squad/Apple Store, etc.
  • Windows Server Administration/Network Concepts (Knowledge/Understanding)
  • Excellent (Written/Verbal) Communication

  • Certifications
  • A+ Certification - CompTIA
  • MCITP - Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional
  • MCDST - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
