Senior Dev/Ops Engineer
For one of my globally leading banking clients we are urgently looking for a Senior Dev/Ops Engineer for a 12+ month project in Amsterdam.
The successful Senior Dev/Ops Engineer will have the following Technical experience/capabilities;
Mandatory:
* Linux systems, networks and virtualization (Docker, Virtual Box)
* Databases (Oracle)
* Jenkins, Git(lab) and Artifactory
* Monitoring with ELK, Graphite/Grafana
Preferred:
* Java, Polymer, PL/SQL
* Scheduling software (TWS/d, UAC)
* Ansible (tower)
* Test automation

Job Description:
As an Ops Engineer you will be working in a small squad within the IT Area "Arrears & Generic". Together with your squad you will be responsible for developing new custom made Java applications that will replace existing Mainframe applications in the Payments domain.
Responsibilities include:
Lifecycle management of the server hosts and vulnerability & patch management, performance & capacity management, IT Risk & Compliance, etc.
Scrum Agile and Continuous Integration/Delivery are our Way of Work.
Work environment:
You will join your squad in a senior OPS Engineering role. The rest of your squad consists of experienced and also less experienced engineers. It is important that you are open to sharing your knowledge with your squad members.
You will operate according to the Scrum Agile development process and strongly stick to the DevOps approach to deliver successful IT solutions. In our clients software development methodology we focus on creating high-quality mission-critical software delivered in-time using an iterative development cycle. We give regular demo's for our stakeholders, so that in the end there are no surprises about the business functionality that we deliver.
Support the business goals by adding the required Payment functionalities into the custom Java apps while warranting the continuity and overall system performance/quality expectations.

Location: Amsterdam
Contract: June 2019 + Likely extensions.
