Systems Engineer (VMWare Migration) Location: The Hague, Netherlands Duration: 4 Months + Extension Start: ASAP Rate: Market Rate Languages: English Description: Sperry Partners Group is urgently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer for a project in The Hague, Netherlands. Tasks: ·Carry out an assessment of the source environment and the target IaaS environment to verify if the target environment fully supports all features required for the respective servers/applications to function. If a delta should occur, the Contractor shall take the appropriate and necessary steps before the migration can start, keeping the Company informed and involved at all times. ·Verify that backups exist for any given VM. ·Prepare and provide to the Company backup and restore procedures in case of failed migration of any given VM. Execution tasks: ·Initialisation of early synchronisation of data (virtual disks), based on the migration method defined in the initiation phase. ·After the data (virtual disks) is synced the virtual machine shall be migrated to the new(HPE) environment. ·Monitoring and documenting of every migration as defined by the company ·Validation tasks: ·Carry out a validation of a virtual machine after its migration. Items that shall be part of the validation are: ·Successful boot ·Network/port group access ·Disk consistency ·Visibility in new vCenter environment ·Manageability of virtual machine Skills: ·6 8 years Systems Engineering ·3 4 Years VMWare experience ·2 4 years Systems Migration experience Keywords: Systems Engineering, Systems Migration, VMWare Migration, The Hague, Netherlands.
