Title: Windows Server Administrator
Location: Warrendale, PA
Duration: 6+ Month
Job Description:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
- Provide Level 1 support for the systems and related applications.
- Establish and administer change control.
- Install, configure, and administer the operating system, mail system, peripheral devices, and networking protocols.
- Perform system administration: security, file and directory permissions, adding/deleting users, etc.
- Evaluate and Patch Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016 Servers using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Work with Information Security to review vulnerabilities and remediate those issues.
- Ensure system optimization; monitor, troubleshoot and resolve performance issues as they relate to process, CPU, memory, i/o network, and web server.
- Perform task automation: batch, queuing and scheduling.
- Work closely with the application teams to provide integrated planning for operating system upgrades, database upgrades, application upgrades and hardware migrations.
- Perform off-hours support as required.
- Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with clients, co-workers and vendors.
