Senior Business Analyst (LCI) JOB DESCRIPTION:

The responsibility of this position requires candidate to act as Business Analyst and Subject Matter Expert for various strategic network initiatives involving PON and MPLS networks in the area of network testing and fault isolation. The position requires deep knowledge of the network and services. The position also requires an understanding of the transport network technologies such as SONET, ROADM and OTN, and how the issues in transport network impacts the performance of the service layer. It is also expected that candidate has some understanding of new technologies such as Software Defined Network and Network Function Virtualization.

The candidate should be able to develop network fault isolation and troubleshooting strategies based on business requirements and network characteristics; create specifications for onshore and offshore development teams and coordinate and define the system integration needs in multiple domains such as provisioning and maintenance. The candidate should be able to handle multiple parallel projects with each one requiring interaction and close coordination with business and operations users and project management teams. This position also requires leadership skills in leading project through Agile methodology as well as complex system deployment to the field. This position must have comprehensive knowledge and solid experience in business requirement gathering, system requirements specification, high level and detail level design, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, supporting, and debugging.

The candidate must be able to establish relationships and work at all levels within the company without supervision. Leads multiple large-scale projects and provides guidance to staff members and peers, making decisions that impact projects and team members. The candidate must be able to communicate and present to all levels of management on programs and metrics that drive business improvements. Candidate should also be able to design system solutions in providing improvement in system performance, and to ensure stability of systems. R

equired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 15 years. experience in a related discipline
  • Ability to gather business requirements and convert them to detailed technical specifications
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Strong understanding of network provisioning and maintenance process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with multiple business groups to ensure that expectations are managed
  • Ability to rapidly adjust to changing business needs

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Layer2 and 3 networks and technologies
  • Experience with testing standards
  • Experience with ROADM, NG ROADM, OTN and SONET technologies

Education: MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent

REQUIRED SHIFT:

Standard, flexible, Mon- Friday and occasional weekend work; must be willing to work with VDSI teams (early hours in US) and also must be willing to work with all the teams across eastern, central, and Mountain Time zones in US.
