Electrical/Automation engineer (CMSE Certified) - Sweden - 6-12mths+

My Client, are looking to recruit a CMSe certified Electrical/Automation Engineer to join their team for a long term project based in Sweden.

The role can be described as follows:

Experience:

  • Experience from performing risk assessments and deriving preventive and mitigating functions.
  • Experience from performing safety calculations in tools such as Isograph, Pilz Pascal or ReliaSoft BlockSim.
  • Experience from electrical or automation design of automation systems within industry or research facilities.
  • Experience from using EPLAN and other associated Engineering tools related to electrical and/or automation engineering.

Scope of assignment

The consultant will be working closely with scientists, engineers, and coordinators for the machine protection systems to carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Gather hardware reliability data of critical components for the machine protection functionality, through interaction with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Support the machine protection system project with safety, protection, functionality, and reliability analyses. Perform risk assessments and derive protection functions.
  • Communicate, work with and assist the electrical and automation design teams from a safety and protection perspective.
  • Perform and document safety calculations.
  • Take part in relevant meetings and discussions on the topics of machine protection and system reliability.
  • Support in the preparation of installation, test and verification plans.
  • Support with informal reviews of documentation throughout the project.
