Financial Wellbeing Advisor- Spennymoor- 6 months- Negotiable Rates
Monitoring rent accounts and recover unpaid rent via the telephone, email, letter and visit.
Preparing arrears cases to present to the Rent Manager when legal action is required.
Attend evictions at the property along with the bailiff.
Knowledge of housing benefit and Universal Credit and how these impact on rent arrears.
Experience of providing financial wellbeing support:
Offer advice and signpost customers affected by welfare reform, including universal credit and the welfare benefit cap
Advising customers on income and expenditure, budgeting and maximising income for households.
Signposting and referring customers to relevant agencies to provide welfare benefits and debt advice.
Establish networks and liaise regularly with external agencies such as housing benefit and the DWP to support customers with claims.
