The Role
Coordinate the different infrastructure tasks involved in the deployment, support and maintenance of the applications in the area of responsibility
Request the server infrastructure, accesses and permissions
Install and configure the application environments
Create and maintain technical documentation of the SharePoint environments in the area of responsibility: installation, configuration, operation and so on
Propose, analyze, create specifications, develop and implement tools to administer and sup-port the SharePoint infrastructure
Perform backup/restore, fail-over and disaster recovery tests
Support Microsoft Project Server environments
Provide support to the development teams
Implement and approve changes as part of the change and release management processes
Provide support to the development teams
Perform analysis and resolve incidents as part of the incident and problem management processes
Troubleshoot application infrastructure issues
Support Third Party software used in the SharePoint collaboration platforms: Nintex, Muhimbi, OpenText AGA
The Individual
Must demonstrate knowledge in:
Administering Microsoft SharePoint with versions 2013 and/or 2016
Automating tasks with PowerShell
SharePoint 2016 new features, Min Roles and patching methodology
SharePoint backup and recovery processes
Different Authentication technologies: AD, Kerberos, Identity Federation, LDAP, SSO
The staff member must demonstrate competence in:
Application technical support including production environments
Problem solving attitude
Strong teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to different technologies
