Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Places circuit orders with Local Exchange Carriers and Interexchange Carriers Coordinates circuit installation between vendor and Operations personnel Tracks order status and escalate as required to insure timely completion
- Assigns equipment and facilities in the circuit inventory system, XPERCOM
- Utilizes the Industrys Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) to determine proper routing of new cellular and landline codes and resolve trouble reports.
- Analyzes capacity requirements associated with landline Tandem rehomes and cellular switch cutovers.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Experience with invoice processing, coding procedures, and PeopleSoft.
- General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies
- Telecom experience including: T1, DACS, OMP
- Voice switch infrastructure including: Lucent 5E and ECP, Motorola MGX, and Nortel MTX Digital
- Communications including: DS1, DS3, Fiber, ISDN
- Data communications including: routers, switches, Ethernet, hubs, TCP/IP, ATM, Frame Relay, SS7
