Kirtana Consulting currently have a position for Design Engineer, 3-6 months rolling contract, Brussels Belgium.

This specific role is to work within the Infrastructure Operations team
- Deliver second level service support & delivery on the ICT Hosting infrastructure to ensure Customer SLA & Internal OLA measurements are achieved (emphasis P1 & P2)
- Accepting customer projects into operations by checking they are built First Time Right according to industrialized standards, and to project specifications (also for custom projects).
Role & Responsibilities:
- Operational support & delivery on all levels of the production & non-production platform
- Accepting customer services into Operations & providing feedback when they are not first time right accepted (to avoid repeats)
- Resolution of Incidents & Changes following standard ICT processes (standard & custom changes)
Primary Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in Design and Implementation of SOLARIS (UNIX Environment) and Linux (REDHAT)
- At least 5 years of experience in VERITAS Storage foundation.
- At least 5 years of experience in VERITAS Cluster Servers
- Experience and understanding of production support (Infrastructure) and performance engineering.
- Key words to look for the profile on web - System Engineer, Design Engineer, Unix/Linux Administrator (from Oracle - SOLARIS/from REDHAT - Linux), OS Administrator.
- Proficient in virtualizations: Zones ; LDOMs
- Experience & working knowledge of TCP/IP LAN/WAN networking principles
- Experience of SAN & NAS based technologies & enterprise storage solutions
- Experience of automation tooling such as Ansible & Puppet
- Experience of Shell Scripting
- Experience of LDAP Directory services
