Our client based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is looking for a Network Design Engineer, this is for an immediate start.
Network Designer & Implementer - Firewall (Security)
So the soft skills is a carbon copy of the previous role. On the technical side we are looking for candidates with Firewall knowledge who are accustomed to using the following Security Appliances:
- Check Point 1k, 3k & 5k Security Appliance
- Meraki MX series
My customer uses Check Point security appliances in their factories meaning they use them as LAN based solutions to segment admin and plant networks (we have seen candidate profiles where security is applied on the WAN, which is ok but not idea). On the Meraki Firewall my customer is using it for their Guest wireless solution so again that would be ideal if the candidates provided have experience related to that.
The Candidates we are looking for must have the following experience:
- Design security solutions
- Implement security solutions
- Know how to build Check Point and Meraki from scratch
- Know how to configure Check Point and Meraki Firewalls
- Know how to push Firewall policy updates on Check Point using R77 (enterprise solution used)
- Must have some LAN experience because it is important to know how these products interact with each other
- Tufin tool
