Description
System Administrator with profound MQ Configuration knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Proficiency in WebSphere MQ including specific knowledge of MQ Clustering and SSL
- Profound Knowhow of Z/OS and Unix (Linux / Solaris), knowledge of other platforms such as AS400 and Window would be advantageous
- Ability to quickly visualize the operating landscape of the bank and the specific scope of the project engaged in coupled with the capacity to understand the processes necessary to achieve allotted tasks
- Capability to interact well with both Business and IT personnel and to take responsibility for assigned tasks and seeing them through until successful completion
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
Your tasks:
- Developing documentation to describe each requested configuration using Microsoft Word and Visio
- Communicating with requestors to obtain documentation approvals and to discuss issues arising from their requests
- Creating object definition scripts using ISPF for those deployed on z/OS, and Windows based text editors for those deployed on Unix, AS400 or Windows
- Providing support to test teams following configuration deployment
- Troubleshooting and remediating configuration issues during test
- Adhering to teams documentation and script development standards including reporting status as required in an organised and precise manner
