Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure related to a service
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Ad hoc requests
Key Capabilities:
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Active Directory
- Certificate management
- Windows Patch management (SCCM)
- LDAP knowhow
- Authentication strategies (eg Smartcard)
- CITRIX
- Experience or certifications in Virtualisation Technologies (either VMWare or Citrix or Microsoft)
- SCOM
- Knowledge of Mc Afee antivirus solutions and Linux systems are a plus
- Software distribution tools SCCM
- Experience with Packaging/Scripting Technologies & Tools (MSI, Wise PackageStudio, InstallShield, Winbatch, Windows Scripting)
- Scripting languages (Powershell;VBScript;Winbatch and/or others), packaging tools
- Good planning and organizing skills
- Excellent Problem solving skills
- Capable of handling multiple project assignments independently
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Being a security-minded individual and able to responsibly use administrative access
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at an international scale.
- Excellent written and communication skills, business fluent English is mandatory. Dutch, French, German are a plus
- Good and widespread technical background (Network, System, Database) is an advantage
