Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer
This is a tremendous role with a very high profile organisation where you will be working in a team who provide a mission critical service for the organisation. They are currently working on an in-house radar solution which will be their first radar installation in many years. To that end they now require a mechanical design engineer with strong Solidworks skills to help them with this project.
The role will involve:
Design parts to interface radar components to a pedestal
Develop areas of the pedestal so it meets specific requirements
Sub-assembly layout arrangement
Create parts drawings
Supplier liaison
Version control of designs created
You will need the following to be considered for the role:
Proven ability to design mechanical, electronic and/or electro-mechanical subassemblies
Strong Solidworks CAD skills
Experience of producing engineering drawings for fabrication
Strong communication skills
Any exposure to radar systems design, assembly or testing would be a major advantage
