Description
Senior Big Data Engineer wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Proficiency working with Hadoop stack including Native Hadoop BI tools as well as Hadoop distributions like Hortonworks and Cloudera
- Expertise with Cloud Technologies, especially Microsoft Azure including HDInsight, Azure Storage, Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure SQL Database and Power BI
- Knowledge of Languages like Scala, Java, Python, SQL, R and MDX as well as of NoSQL including HBase, Graph, in-memory and columnar. Basics in Machine learning and AI are advantageous
- Previous experience in the fields of Financial Services, Consumption-based Analytics, Product management, Billing Sensitivity (Internal analytics) and Digital Rights Management
- Know-how of Tableau and Tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, JIRA,, GitHub and Confluence as well as of Search Platforms such as Solr and Elasticsearch
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
Your tasks:
- Participating in the selection of Hadoop-based software, infrastructure and services for our analytics solution
- Supporting the architecture and design work for the implementation phase
- Contributing to key deliverables from within an organization that has limited prior experience with such technologies, producing information and fostering agreement
- Handling a sizeable stack of technologies, from physical infrastructure up to business-domain-specific logic offering packages
