Sybase Database Administrators, join our team in Luxembourg.
You will have the opportunity to work together with an experienced international team, in the heart of Europe.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform troubleshooting, administration, monitoring, tuning, and operations functions on Sybase databases.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in problem, change, release, configuration and capacity management
- Technical documentation and consulting services that include system reviews and recommendations
- Provide administration for database including the following: install, configure, start/stop, upgrade, and monitor, manage, reorg/rebuild, and maintain the Sybase ASE
- Operate, maintain, backup, and recover the environment
We are searching for a candidate with a following profile:
- Good working knowledge of Sybase ASE
- Good knowledge of Sybase backup strategies.
- Experience in delivering best in class solutions tailoring to various business requirements
- Knowledge on high availability and disaster recovery with mirroring, replication, log shipping, always on and clustering.
- Proven System Administration skills
- Innovative thinker with a commitment to improve processes and methodologies
