Description
Front End Engineers required to work on:
- New transformational program for a UK customer focusing on Front End capabilities
- Agile mode of working with teams co-located in London
- Good working experience of Node skills and understanding of Java 8 language.
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience is required for Node.js.
- Being eligible for SC clearance - Basic eligibility - UK/EU Citizen/Indefinite leave to remain Visa holder without leaving UK for more than 6 months in last 5 years.
- Have demonstrable experience of successfully working with other suppliers/3rd parties/other partners in the delivery of public sector digital services;
- Iteratively developing and improving them using Agile methods and practices.
- Have demonstrable expertise in automated testing and DevOps approaches
- Capable of delivering high-quality services with automated testing processes.
- Able to build and influence our current build pipelines to support organisation maturity, this should include, automated security testing, code quality assurance, smoke testing and using containerisation to support deployment.
- Able to communicate effectively with technical architecture and solve issues amongst complex integrations.
- Have demonstrable experience of successfully assessing Discovery phase outputs; iteratively developing and improving them using Agile methods and practices.
- Knowledge of working with Payment Systems.
- Work as a team with other leads and developers, owning and contributing in deliverables and guide/lead the team towards success.
Essential Skills:
- Senior Node skills (3+ years Node.js specific, 5+ Overall)..
- Have demonstrable experience of working with client technology stack (Node.js, Java, Postgres, Reddit, AWS, Puppet, RabbitMQ).
- This role is anticipated to by 80% Node.js development, 20% Java.
- Have demonstrable experience of successfully integrating systems via APIs, including on-premise and other cloud-based services.
- Have demonstrable experience of successfully delivering digital solutions that collect and manage personal and/or sensitive information with appropriate controls and protection.
- Have demonstrable experience of successfully working with other suppliers/3rd parties/other partners in the delivery of public sector digital services;

- Knowledge of ELK/Grafana and able to design metrics and monitoring dashboards.
- Should have experience working in Agile environment
- Ability to clearly articulate both the technology and business pros and cons of various technologies, platforms, and architectural options
- To be able to document the processes
- Excellent communication, can do' attitude and a team player
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in complex and critical systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Public Sector domain
