Description
Controls Engineer - Inverness - £10 - £13 Per Hour - 6 months
The controls engineer will be expected to take responsibility for several key equipment projects from a controls perspective. They will support project activity where required through development, commissioning and testing. They will work to a tight timeline to ensure production equipment is fit for purpose and ready as required.
Duties/Responsibilities
The equipment project engineer will be expected to take overall project delivery responsibility for their equipment project.
Project Engineering
- Support assembly, commissioning and testing of production equipment.
- Development of code for agreed changes to be implemented to equipment.
- Generation of code review documentation.
- Equipment fault finding.
- Generation of controls related documentation for fault recovery.
- Generation of relevant test cases.
- Provide training on equipment to 3rd parties
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic system knowledge
- Programming of PLC/Microprocessor or computer controlled production equipment
- Comprehend electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Experience with low and extra low voltage supplies
- Demonstration of sound methodology in fault finding techniques
