JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer

JOB DUTIES:

  • The candidate who fills this position will submit any and all Telco orders. Manage VzW Telco service procurement through appropriate tools, such as; Tess, pcASR, docusign, Granite, SiteTraker, and any other tools required.
  • The candidate who fills this position will build Granite records for telephony circuits per VzW standards
  • The candidate who fills this position will coordinate traffic migrations per VzW standards. Work with VzW Network Assurance (Operations) and required Telco contacts to coordinate cuts and bandwidth upgrades and disconnects.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • 1.Comprehensive knowledge in networking, data communications and systems engineering. This includes an expert level of knowledge in wireless backhaul and voice trunking.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in wide range of technologies including Router, multiplexer and switch design and architecture as well as transport, routing and signalling protocols including but not limited to Ethernet, TDM/SONET (anything from T1- to- OC192).

  • Understanding and experience of multi-service IP Networks, data network strategies, multi vendor equipment and network protocols.

  • Granite record keeping skills. Ability to build equipment and paths, create path revisions, and create work orders in Granite.

  • DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Expert level competencies with Granite, TESS, SiteTraker, FIM, and Telco Ordering platforms.
    • Expert level competencies with basic computing applications like Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Tableau.

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree in technical/networking preferred, or a comparable level of experience in the United States Military, or associates degree with 5+ years of experience.
    • CCNA or CCNP preferred
    • PMP preferred

    REQUIRED SHIFT:

    Position is standard 40 hour work week. Schedule is somewhat flexible (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm)

    Overtime/Weekend work is not anticipated, but possible.

    No travel is anticipated, but possible.
