WINDOWS APPLICATION ENGINEER JOB IN LUZERN (6-month contract with a possible extension)

A renowned tier-1 banking client of mine is looking for Windows Application Engineering contractor for a job opportunity in Luzern on a Client Tax Reporting IT Project.

You will work in a highly diversified team of 20 professionals in an agile, German-speaking environment. Nevertheless, most of the documentation and some of the meetings are held in English.

As a Windows Application Engineer your main responsibilities are: managing full 3 tier windows application stacks - packaging, deployment, installation, upgrades, automation and maintenance; server deployment; Windows batch and Powershell scripting; stakeholder management and support; quality assurance testing; log management and analysis.

The key technical skills:
  • application management (.NET framework)
  • server-side deployment (.NET, IIS, Jenkins, Atlassian)
  • source control (preferably SVN)
  • continuous integration (preferably Jenkins)
  • windows scripting (Powershell)
  • log management (Splunk)
  • fluent English and an understanding of Business Level German


Beneficial skills and experiences:
  • banking experience or tax business
  • authentication and authorisation - PKI's, LDAP, SAML, OAuth
  • experience in C#, .NET application development
