Description

Defence client are in the market for an experienced Configuration engineer (CMDB) with document and data management experience. This is a DV Cleared role.

You will be responsible for data management, planning, developing, establishing and maintaining the configuration of documents and data for IT programmes. Both hardware and software for a multitude of new and Legacy systems spread across multiple sites.

Main Duties:

* This role will be focused on CMDB - Data and document Management.
* Demonstrable industrial experience in Configuration Management or experience working in a technical environment interfacing with systems, software, hardware or test engineering disciplines.
* Experience establishing, developing and implementing Configuration Management processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data library/repository, product release and delivery, and configuration audits.
* Experienced with Microsoft office tools advanced features: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access or other database experience requiring schema definition and data manipulation.
* Experience working with ISO 9000 and CMMI CM requirement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the generation and presentation of briefing packages to program management and customers.

Desired Skills

* CMII Certification
* Detailed working knowledge of Def Stans 05-57 and 05-123
* Able to apply Six Sigma improvement and become Specialist Certification
* Proficient in evaluation of program documents for impact to CM processes
