Network Architect - Financial Sector
Short term 3 Month Contract - scope to potentially extend

Deliver business design and ensure the best network solutions.
Providing network architecture & design services
Be the key point of contact for all IT projects requiring engagement around network designs or changes.
Provide expertise and input into business projects and high-level designs.
Role Responsibilities:
Network strategy, architecture and design leadership
Develop long term vision of network technologies and solutions Network guidance to multi-functional teams
Negotiate with key stakeholders including prioritisation of projects and resources Provide technical insight and input to key project management activities
Develop technical product roadmaps, designs and solutions
Provide technical design assurance for new projects, operational change and enhancements
Provide direction and take design ownership for network elements of the infrastructure architecture,
Network management Skills and experience required
Experience of large scale solution delivery projects Proven track record of WAN/LAN based network services
Degree level educated, technical qualification
Ability to communicate technical concepts to all
Skills:
- 8 -12 years experience in a senior technical role in a multi-national company.
- Excellent working knowledge of Cisco WAN equipment. Strong routing skills (OSPF & BGP)
- Good knowledge of Cisco LAN equipment (Catalyst & Nexus)
- Strong Content switching/F5 experience would be of benefit. In particular exposure to WAF.
- Excellent working knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls (clustering, VRRP, VSX & remote VPN) would be of benefit.
- Certification such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE or Checkpoint CCSE.
