System Engineer - API Management (6-month contract with a possible extension)

Start: 03.09.2018

A banking client of mine is looking for a System Engineer (API Management) to join their team in Zurich. Your function in this project will be to support the architecture and the roadmap of an API platform, as well as to collaborate with the delivery team within the project lifecycle.

As a System Engineer your responsibilities will include: the analysis of business and technical

requirements; solutions delivery; creation and implementation of technical concepts for API lifecycle; evaluation and implementation of an API management platform; test automation; release management; collaboration and support of other project stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Good understanding of modern API tech
  • Track record in designing and developing web services / API
  • Experience with web technologies (e.g. JavaScript, SOAP/REST, Swagger/RAML, XML…)
  • Solid know-how of web security technologies and concepts (e.g. Identity management, OAuth 2.0, Access Management, Authentication, Authorization…)
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins
  • Communicative and structured team player with an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Confident in delivering PowerPoint presentations
  • Business fluent English
  • German is an asset
