Position: Manufacturing Systems/Operations Engineer
Location: Bristol
Contract: 6 months
Job Type: Contract
Due to continued expansion our client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Systems/Operations Engineer. This role is key in ensuring the company is able to meet its business objectives.
As a Manufacturing Systems/Operations Engineer you will be working alongside the existing team helping to deliver new equipment and process improvements into the production team.
About the role:
The first 3 months will focus on the delivery of a manual handling and health and safety improvement project. Internal reviews have identified a need for capital equipment in the form of power assist for manual handling and some ATEX rated equipment to be purchased and introduced. In addition, there are also requirements for improved packaging around heavier components.
Continuing on from the manual handling project you will be working on a number of facility improvement items requiring the management of external contractors to ensure works are complete to specification and with minimum disruption to production. Also, the purchasing, pass off, implementation and performance measurement of a number of capital equipment purchases.
This role will require the effective management of external contractors, liaising with a wide number of company staff as well as elements of hands on work to get new equipment and processes in and running effectively.
About you:
A successful candidate would have a proven background in delivering equipment and processes into production environments with experience of working with ergonomics, manual handling and working with hazardous material.
