Job Role: Senior Programme Director

Location: Egypt.

Salary Range: £90-120K

Senior Programme Director required for overseas network programme. 12-month in Egypt - (safe travel and accommodation provided) who can evidence significant knowledge and delivery in the Governance/set up as well as ongoing delivery of a large overseas project. This role will include leading in country and UK based DNS personnel, assurance, mentoring the large Egyptian Delivery team as well as potential opportunity to set up a UK DNS subdivision. An understanding of logistics is important and an ability to speak Arabic or experience of working within the region would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall leadership and have ultimate accountability for the successful delivery of complex, global programs.
  • Own the overall program direction and vision in conjunction with the business unit and customer.
  • Be accountable for the effective management of the projects or functional activities within programs, their risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, resources and communications thus ensuring delivery of the new capabilities and benefits.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for significant delivery issues.
  • Be responsible for maintaining the linkages between programs and the organization's strategic direction.
  • Be the main driving force throughout a program and region, managing stakeholders and programs to mutual benefit.
  • Direct the Management of the production of plans for the delivery of multiple projects in partnership with customers and business.
  • Direct the Management of the business and program risks and ensure the production of an effective plan and risk assessment.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program teams and support personal and professional development within the wider community.
  • Engage and provide guidance to the general management team and project management team, especially with respect to risk management and recovery from major issues, as well as during stakeholder interactions.
  • Address the entire business change by shaping and inspiring the change journey.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Ensure that the impact on the business area's Profit and Loss (P&L) due to program activities within the scope is clearly visible and that all contingency usage is signed-off by the appropriate governance authority.
  • Be accountable for directing the tracking of program costs and supporting business units in meeting payment milestones.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the aims of programs and projects continue to be aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Be responsible for commissioning reviews that formally assess the achievements of the programs and the benefits realized.
  • Lead the supply-chain to deliver the prime-contactor's contractual commitments, whilst achieving the signed-out financial goals.
  • Ensure the delivery strategy and approach remains appropriate throughout the delivery life cycle.
  • Report contact delivery status into the UK via the standard UK structures.
  • Lead the broader UK Assurance team focussing on Technical Solution Design and Test functions.
  • Direct and shape the formation of relevant program and project management policy documentation.

Skills:

  • Ability to identify and deploy the appropriate programme and project management disciplines.
  • Ability to establish relationships with senior customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to tailor corporate standards and approaches to provide value in the Middle East environment.
  • Knowledge/awareness of CISCO technologies advantageous.
  • Key Performance Indicators include customer Satisfaction scores and assignment feedback scores
  • Ideally, speak Arabic.
  • Deliver large scale multimillion dollar network implementation contracts.
  • Supply chain stakeholder management.
  • Conducting delivery assurance (and audit) reviews.
  • UKS and EMEIA delivery governance and assurance standards (as appropriate)
  • Prior experience of similar roles within the Middle East advantageous.

SC clearance is required. Additional checks may be carried out by EMOD.
