Description
This is an exciting position working for a global financial services organisation. The role is working within the MQ Support/Project teams and is in charge of implementing, operating and maintaining the MQ Infrastructure. There are several new projects in the pipeline and as such they are looking for someone with significant experience of working in an enterprise scale financial services environment who is prepared for a long-term engagement.
Some of the key responsibilities are;
- Administration of the existing infrastructure (managing Servers/queue managers)
- Contributing to projects from an MQ perspective
- Analysing possibilities for automation, proposing solutions and implementing them
- Security management
- Following up incidents and participating in root cause analysis
Key experience required for this position is;
- Broad knowledge of IBM MQ (v7.5 minimum, v8 or v9 preferred)
- Specific experience working on Mainframe z/OS platform
- MQ server knowledge, client setup and management
- Knowledge and experience of automation and Scripting in MQ environments
