Description
The Senior Developer is required to work for our busy and thriving systems division within our client site. Your key role will be on Development, maintenance and support of existing Qlikview estate including reports and server Architecture
Key requirements.
- Developing new reports in QlikSense, QlikView and NPrinting 14.6
- Designing new Data warehouses using MS SQL Server, for overnight warehousing and same day reporting from replicated databases.
- Embedding BI into in house Software tools
- Analysis and design of full BI stack - from Business Analysis to Warehouse to Front End reports
- Delivery of advanced BI - Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics
- Manage and Mentor Junior Developers, Support team and Placement Students
- Managing supplier relationship with 3rd party Qlik provider
- Prioritising workloads and planning and reporting on Sprint progress
Understanding SQL databases, data warehousing and Datamodelling will be advantageous.
The ideal applicant will have:
- a technical skill set with experience of BI or software development eg QlikView, QlikSense, SQL Server or C#, which will allow you to design BI solutions that make the best use of the Qlik product suite.
- SQL server and DBA skills
- Experience and enjoyment of hands on BI Development with a desire to lead junior members of the team
- Your wider role will be to help guide customers to the most appropriate solution and avoid common pitfalls. An awareness of the UI and an interest in creating visually stimulating dashboards and conducting User Acceptance Testing will be beneficial
- To excel in this position, you will have strong customer-facing skills and will require you to participate in meetings, gathering requirements and writing documentation when needed.
This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client users.
Role Requirements:
- Work directly with business units to define Specifications and prototype QlikView Applications
- Design, build, test and debug QlikView solutions based upon specified requirements
- Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources into QlikView applications
- Developing, testing, and debugging QlikView applications
- Design, create and tune physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support logical and dimensional models. Maintain the referential integrity of the database
- Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI applications and programs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
