Description
As part of a major Datacentre refresh project my client is seeking an experienced Unix engineer with datacentre experience to test an ensure the technical readiness of a SDDC platform prior to migrations along with the Implementation of approved design (this will include changes and configuration required for each server supporting SDDC and also the implementation of Integrating components and liaising with 3rd party vendors as required).
Essential Experience
2+ years proficiency with installing and administering operating Systems including AIX, Solaris, RHEL Linux and Oracle Enterprise Linux
2+ years proficiency of Virtualization Tooling including VMware, Oracle Virtual Machine, Solaris LDOMs & Zones
1+ Automation skills eg Ansible and Shell Scripting.
Awareness of Logical Volume disk management (Solaris Volume Manager & ZFS)
Awareness of security, hardening and patching
